[+] Food of all kinds. He's an eater, and not picky in the least. Can probably swallow food normal people can't stand.
[+] Loves sleeping, being lazy in general. Whenever not eating, battling, or skirt chasing he's probably sleeping. "Sleeping is the best way to pass the time."
[+] He loves the rain. His skin is naturally dryer then most, so he drinks a lot of water and loves taking naps in the rain. He seemingly is impervious to the common cold this way.
[+] Cruz is a clutch swimmer, his skin is permanently soothed in the water, which helps him focus as well as relax.
[+] In his twenty four years of life, Cruz has discovered one thing: Life's too short to worry about the small stuff. As such, he's taken to a life of skirt chasing, with the ability to hit on any female that moves and is within his age group. (Sometimes even out of his age group…)

Dislikes:
[-] He HATES being hungry. He doesn't function as well even on the most peckish of stomachs, and will let everyone around him know it until he's sated.
[-] He also hates being tired, although to a lesser extent of being hungry since he takes as many naps as humanly possible. Sometimes mistaken for a narcoleptic.
[-] He dislikes heat immensely, most of the time it leaves lasting effects on him during battles. He tends to slow to a crawl and becomes even lazier than usual in intense heat or when burned.
[-] He hates planning things. He's a play-by-feel kind of guy, and whenever someone tries to tell him what to do it's likely he'll completely ignore it when his gut tells him to.
[-] Tea. He's a cold coffee kind of guy.

Favorite Food: Soups, even hot ones. The feel of stew usually outweighs his dislike for heat.

Personality:
- Cruz runs on instinct. He likes making snap calls in battle and doesn't like structure or plans. Doesn't operate entirely on feel, but doesn't think too much into battle tactics before executing.
- Easily mistaken for a coward, Cruz is just lazy. If something can be done easily or without fighting, he'll do it. If he doesn't have to move, he probably won't.
- Hates fighting fair. Severely dislikes people who overemphasize 'honor in battle'. While he likely isn't going to leave you in battle to fend for yourself; if made to make a snap call, he'll likely prioritize himself over others. "If you're going to fight, you might as well fight to survive, no matter what."
- Due to his hate of structure, takes change very well. Very adaptable in combat, takes surprises without much of a flinch.
- Doesn't like being tied down or committed. This extends to plans, jobs, and women.
- Very open, will likely to say something stupid and inappropriate at the worst times. He does this on purpose, however. He doesn't do serious very well, and goes out of his way to keep the atmosphere as light as possible.
- Messy. Loses things often, but loses things more often when people attempt to clean his mess.
- Not easily angered, but extremely aggressive when provoked. Maintains an enthusiastic, carefree and aloof attitude to counteract anger and bring down the general serious air around him.
- Extremely cocky and carefree, he's survived some horrible conditions as an orphan and as such believes he can take on pretty much anything head on. Also relies on his uncanny sixth sense and luck to keep him alive, as they haven't failed him yet.

History:
Orphaned at a young age, Cruz doesn't remember any of his life from before Twilight Town. Having to grow up there by himself, living from house to house, corner to corner: stealing, begging, and working whatever he could to survive. He learned quickly that anger and sadness doesn't solve anything; you could rage and complain all you want but nobody will ever care enough to listen, so why bother? Instead he focused on surviving; learning what he could here and there and making 'friends' who could help him out. Not all of them did, however, and as a result he became quite cynical when it came to friends and commitment as he grew older.

Eventually Cruz made a decent living fighting in the struggle tournaments, and between teaching some of the other kids how to swim and doing the odd job here and there he lived pretty comfortably, or as comfortable as one could live in a little box shack tucked in an alley. He eventually grew into a handsome young man, which he used to bounce between girl to girl in order to keep housing and maintain his decent lifestyle.

On his twenty fourth birthday, he was just in between girls and living back in his box shack for a few days until he could find his next target. This probably saved him when the heartless came to Twilight Town, as he had plenty of advance warning between the screams and the fires outside his shack. Even so, attempting to leave his home he was ambushed by numerous heartless. Attempting to fend them off with a struggle bat was ineffective to say the least. His luck managed to hold on here, as he materialized as a keyblade wielder and managed to escape Twilight Town and make his way to Traverse Town.

Additional Information:
- His fighting style incorporates everything at his disposal. Punches, kicks, keyblade, dirt, trees, if he thinks it'll help he'll use it.
- Isn't very motivated in the first place, only worries about his next meal and if he's going to sleep on the ground or a bed that night.
